Of Cutters and Burners

We cut because we're hurt. Not because we want attention.
We burn because cutting can't carry the pain. Not because we like to burn ourselves.
We cry because we care. Not because we're weak.
We purge because we're insecure. Not because we're vain.
We hide because we're afraid. Not because we want to be alone.
We commit suicide because we can't take it anymore. Because we became weak. Because we didn't want to live anymore. And because we wanted to see how many people actually cared.
